I have the Performance 5.0 and LOVE it! Basically the same machine as the 5.2. - a few additional features, mostly in decorative stitch selections I believe. If you have been sewing on a Pfaff for 22 years, you are familiar with the IDT dual feed system. My machine sews so very straight, even with the 9mm opening. I had to get used to the drop in bobbin. I love the auto thread cutting and hover foot, and the lock stitch. I use a thread stand and large Aurifil cone, so I have to adjust / loosen the top tension - very easy to do, and the stitches are perfect. Another great feature, is the start/stop button, but at any time while you are stitching you can use the the foot pedal. It is a wonderful machine. The only thing I am not wild about is the needle threader. Same design as always, but it doesn't feel as robust as in previous models of Pfaffs I have. Yes...I have a few Pfaffs.
