I want to paint my family room a dark brown but I have these natural beams and I don't know what to do with them. Paint them white? Paint ceiling white? Also my fireplace bricks are ugly and I thought about using a whitewashing technique on them. The pic with the white wall is the real brick color. And I'm not sure the tall wall will look overwhelming with dark brown. What would you do? I want a cozy mood (hence the dark walls) thank you!!
