Patricia, I started a before and after thread, but hoped you might see I took your suggestions and ran with it! The only thing I haven't changed is the mirror, but I'm ok with it for the time being, I was more inspired to just get rid of the picture frames, vases, etc.

The stems in the vase are not real, but it is a simply beautiful collection of greens and whites that I just can't stop looking at!

Try to mimic what Ashley posted and it will be perfection.

Much better. I'd also remove the candlesticks and move the vase a few inches toward the right. Also remove that small object in front of the lamp. Add one more larger book under the 2 existing ones.
