You could go warm beiges to play off the wood or cool greys to play off the stainless. Your paint choice will depend on the tiles you choose. Plain white tile could go either way and I would choose a flooring that gives you a bit of both warm and cool colors. if you collect traditional blue and white pottery or china you might stay with the solid color tiles for plain backdrop.
