I have had the GE Cafe French Door double wall oven for about 3 weeks now. Hardly time to break it in but so far so good. The convection is wonderful. I previously had a KA double convection and the GE has so many more options including WiFi. The Monogram is about 1500.00 more and it gives LED lighting vs. the halogen on the Cafe. There is lighting behind the dials of the Monogram also. According to our salesperson both the Cafe and Monogram are made at the same plant. I also have the GE Cafe induction cooktop and have had it for over a year. It has been great with no issues.

I can't find a showroom that has the Cafe series! Are the pro handles the same as Monogram? What about GE Cafe fridge, DW, etc. Heard any comments? We went to look at appliances and our sales rep can get us the best price on Jennair but really want the french door oven.

I'm not sure about GE appliance's (or Haier these days) strategy today but it used to be that the basic (behind the) box for a lot of appliances was the same, Only the front was different. This was apparently true for dishwasher which all had the same guts but only the doors were different.

The 14-16 y.o. GE Profile wall oven in my house may be a somewhat poor example of that design philosophy. It is a convection unit but the fan and heater seemed to have been bolted on as an afterthought to the basic design. Oven depth is reduced in an annoying spot for that reason.

The Monogram offers two styles of handles; a thin Euro look and the larger restaurant style. The Cafe is closer to the restaurant style but there is a slight difference in the look. If you have a Home Depot near most carry the Cafe fridge in the store and you can see the handle.

I also really wanted the French Door oven and am very happy with the look and functionality.

Anything new on GE Café dishwashers? Or are people still going to yell Bosch/Miele?

Or anything on the fridges? Like the K-cup or hot water dispenser versions?

My GE Cafe dishwasher and dual fuel range are hopefully in a dumpster somewhere. Both were serviced 4 times less after owning them less than 6 months. The fridge and the microwave have 1 month remaining on the warranty. The fridge is waiting on it's 4 service call for the same ice maker issue and the convection microwave is setting things on fire on the reheat setting. I know this is an old original post but I'd wash dishes by hand before buying anything GE.
