Hi there! I first put a basecoat on the wall, a warm grey/beige. I actually mixed a Golden Paint color:iridescent stainless steel (fine) with iridescent silver(fine) and scrubbed it into the Lincrusta. I had to do two passes, but still some of the basecoat showed through here and there, which is what was wanted. Then I tipped off the high points with a Ben Moore warm black. Anyway, I did a different sample using aluminum leaf to achieve the metallic step. My client decided it was a bit too shiny. My point being, you could achieve the metallic a few different ways. Most metallic paints I have found, don’t have the sparkle needed. Hope that helps.and good luck with your project!
