Green mulberries disappearing from bush

For 2-3 weeks the bush has been loaded with growing berries, now many have disappeared. Previously, ripened berries disappeared, which I can understand. But why green berries? The plant is in a pot surrounded by concrete... I would see berries that fall off. The pot has not dried out for longer than a half day

The only time I have had that happen was when the rain knocked them off

I hadn't thought of that. The remaining ones are on tightly. Maybe the others were not.
