Hello, I have an inground pool that since being opened has a heat pump that isn't working. The model is MBP-100A made by AquaComfort, but I think AquaComfort is putting their nameplate on a heat pump made by Hayward, it has R22 refrigerant. I think I need a new LP switch, but I can't be certain. If I put a short across the two wires coming off of this LP switch, the motor starts right up. I'm tempted to just short them and let it run, but I figure that's as safe as putting aluminum foil over a blown fuse.

Any help would be great, some other potentially useful info;

Is AquaComfort really Hayward? I can buy an LP switch on Amazon for under $60, but I am not certain of the model because this Aqua model number is non existent on the web.

How to determine if the LP switch is actually the problem? I followed some basic troubleshooting, but I do not have a gauge and necessary plumbing fittings to measure any pressure.
