Yay! I see two lovely smiling faces.

It worked! I wish I knew WHY it worked this time, though. In my last failed attempt, I did exactly the same things that succeed in this one. I have no idea why the above posted, while the other(s) just “sit” without posting anything.

Anyway, I really didn’t expect the picture to post. My Dad, Mom, Ome (Uncle) Willem, and I went to the mountains today. My uncle is visiting from Holland. I took some pretty pictures and I’ll post a few, along with some others. Lisa

Saw a pretty lily, growing at the lower elevation of Palomar Mountain.

Given how little rain we had this past year, we were surprised to see this amount of water in the stream.

Thanks you two! I had a good day. We had decided to make it a drive, rather than a hike, because of my hip. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize sitting in the car so long was going to be so uncomfortable. I spent the ride home laying on my back with my legs draped over my moms lap. Bless her heart, she encouraged it. Yes, I was exhausted last night.

To give you some height perspective Mary, I’m 5’ 7”. My dad is 6’ 1”. My Ome Willem is 6’ 7”. He’s REALLY tall!

The mountains were beautiful. I always feel at peace there. I also saw lots of “Devil’s Trumpets”, growing wild. Lisa
