Hanging cabinets creates a very sleek clean effect to your space, if it doesn't take away from your closet space I would say go for it! Its not often space is not an issue, if you got it flaunt it ;)

Do you like the outline of the closet above?

PS it's hard for anyone to give feedback on your closet system because it's so personal. The best thing you can do is look at your clothes and evaluate how much room you need. How much room do your dresses take up right now? Seems like there isn't a lot of "long" clothes storage. Do you live somewhere that it gets cold and you need long term covered storage to keep the dust off? How much drawer space do you need for underthings? Where will your bras go? etc...

I prefer the hung systems over the built from floor up systems. The only time I go down to floor is for shelving or drawers. If I want to go down to floor is because I choose to, instead of having to. Hanging systems also allow sliding bigger / longer items under. They are also easier to clean. Less material which usually costs less.

I design cabinets for 10+ years for several companies. I would only do hanging in my own application & suggest them to my clients. The hanging system is very secure when it goes into all the studs. Never had 1 fall & it's been many years. I have great installers.
