White 'thread' coming from bonsai tree

Hi, I have this bonsai tree for 2 months now and suddenly there is a sort of white thread/root coming from between the leaves, and I have no idea what it possibly could be and if I should intervene or just let it be. this is a photo I took https://ibb.co/cLtaN8

Pic is bit blurry but looks like a aerial root. You can let be or cut it off. Aerial roots that eventually reach the soil is often desired feature in a bonsai.

Yes, that's an aerial root. Congratulations! Is that a ficus?
