So this may sound weird but it’s actually my room. I know your probably like what I didn’t know kids go on this , and you assumed I’m a mom doing it for my kids . I like all of these but I’m leaning more towards the last one. Just thought to ask and maybe someone has a good opinion.

salsa, why not start with bedding you love... or some artwork from etsy, and let that be your guide. you wont find choices you love in all the color combos. that will narrow it down some for you.

I didn't know it was your room. Kudos to you for coming on this website for help. There are teens that come on here but we don't know anyone's age when they post. I agree 100% with ninigret above. Find your bedding or artwork first, then your paint colors when you have the room furnishings.

Best way to start with building a good bedroom design is find some bedding you love and then build off of that!

I voted for blush/gold/ grey, but just because I like that colour combo.
What kind of feeling are you going for? Airy, moody, calming, eclectic, glam..? :)

You sound mature enough to understand that you will like your room, at least in the long term, much better if you paint the walls a neutral color and, unless the trim is a natural wood finish, paint it white. Then use your bedding to create your theme(s) -- changeable as your taste and/or mood and/or the seasons change … even back and forth between themes on any given day/week/month/year.

If you begin with white or solid color sheets in your favorite pastel color, you can use the same ones with different more visible items you can change to create your theme(s): the drapes and bed spreads/comforters and pillow shams.

There are some great Houzz pros willing to help you with color coordination just for the asking. Consider posting some pics of your room and, if possible, a drawing of your room -- drawn, to scale (with measurements noted in the margins), on graph paper, also indicating any doors and windows and closets and anything else that needs to stay in place.

Looked at the profile pic. Nice house. Do you know if your room will have a northern or southern or eastern or western exposure -- that might change how "bright" your room will be naturally and influence how you want to decorate it.

Blush with subtle mint, in my opinion, is also nice youthful, fresh colour combo.

But, since you are in your teens I would advise you to experiment a bit and do something unusual, something that's unique to you and that expresses you.

You're on the right track with Houzz influence. Not a pro myself, but I do enjoy being even a tiny part of and/or just watching the progress people are making in creating a home environment they can enjoy.

to figure out your room exposure, check the current time and note which hemisphere you are in and whether it is before 12.30pm or after 1.30pm. then note whether whether there is sun light coming into the windowas of tour room. we can teach you to tell from those bits of information.

It’s on the second story kind of in the middle/back of the house I’d say. We aren’t moved in yet the sellers are still there. We’ll be there in about two weeks actually but still have the apartment too for a little while.

Others will focus on colors. Those must be your personal choice. I offer some practical "food for thought".

okie dokie.... I think we could be onto some ideas. for what its worth (and I'm not a pro), I'd recommend one of these approaches... which falls in line with most of the great advice youve already received:

1) start with a base palette - since you are a musician consider black / "espresso" / charcoal and white. The basics are the basics for good reason - they work for most folks most of the time.
2) lets pick 2 colors from the Bahamas as an inspiration. these are colors we can play up
or down just depending... someone suggested mint green earlier. so consider cool mint green and rich turquoise to resemble the water and flora. or go for soft pink and bright orange to resemble the sunset or soft yellow and bright pink like a sunrise at the Atlantis resort.

I’ll have all white furniture so I don’t know if that helps or not. I think that’ll make choosing color pallet easily since it’ll go with about anything. I’m loving the mint/pink color combo.

Thinking about this bed frame. It has a very nice price and is simple. Any opinions? I’m open to any suggestions

Also it has two storage compartments underneath to make for good storage

White/Gold is always classic, never goes out of style and doesn't bore the eye after waking up to bright colors everyday.. it gets to become a bit too much.

Do you already have a bed or bed frame? If not, start with just the basic metal frame with wheels that can be either a twin bed or a full bed. You can always add a headboard later. A footboard just takes up room and ends up in the way.

One useful kind of headboard has a shelf built in -- great for a clock, radio, cell phone, book you're reading …
