How to remove floating house numbers?

We inherited a set of floating house numbers when we bought the house, and now want to replace them with something different. I suspect they were installed with silicone caulk and our best bet is to just use a dremel to cut them off. Any other suggestions?

Silicone caulk would never hold those on the house. Possibly bolted to that pc of wood then the wood attached to the house. Or attached in this manor.

Based on the video, I'd try prying them off with a piece of wood inserted between the numbers and the siding. Another option might be to dremel cut the numbers off near the number side and then pull the fasteners out using some vise-grips.

Hi there. Were you able to get them off? We're about to install floating numbers with silicone (per the instructions) in hardie board and I'm not sure I want them forever. Thanks!
