Jeanne what a splendid summer tea party I'll be having soon as the rain clears. The watermelon plates n nappies are so fun. I like your decorating of the tea bags n the notebook. Every tea party hostess needs a book to jot down juicy tidbits...I mean data. sauerkraut biscuit turnovers, delightfully orange jello mold and Hidden Valley Ranch Oyster Crackers for recipes! Yes. Been a lifelong Ranch lover even when you had to mix it yourself. I'm going to enjoy trying sweet white Spanish onion and Caraway seeds. I'm not sure what kind of seeds we're in the gold packet. someone even brought the package inside before it rained!!! Love it all.

The post office is working hard! That was quick delivery. I should have written down the name of the packets of seeds, Heidi. because I don't remember. It should be on the package so check again. I remember some of those foil packets came with the letters sort of run together and a bit blurred. Anyway, either you'll discover the name on the package or get a surprise!

No rain today, but we have been getting rain. My cucumbers are growing so quickly. I got to eat my second homegrown one today! I have various tomatoes that are still green. The only red ones I've gotten to pick so far are Cherry Roma.

Jayeanne’s package arrived today! What a fun festive package. She packed everything in a fun hot pink bubble envelope. She send a nice note and her theme was Summertime in the South with recipes for yummy sounding easy smokehouse burgers, chicken cheddar shells, chilaquiles style sausage and eggs, and spicy chicken and zucchini quesadillas. She sent some lovely Isaac Mizrahi outdoor appetizer plates, an Alabama football drink holder, a pretty garden themed kitchen towel, a couple of tropical drink stirrers, and seeds for green sprouting Calabrese broccoli, heat tolerant variety of cilantro (Yes, definitely can use a heat tolerant variety and I love cilantro!), mammoth sweet basil, and dark green zucchini. Thank you so much for such a festive package, Jayeanne! I will have fun with these!

I got my package (probably yesterday but I stayed out too late to find it until today) from Breanne! It’s a beautiful celebration of Thanksgiving. There is a pumpkin pie candle, cupcake picks and 12 festive place settings with napkin rings. The seeds are butternut squash (I love it so much one of my cats was named Butternut), pie pumpkins, sweet baby corn, carrots and beets. I will definitely be trying the recipes this holiday season for sweet potato casserole, corn casserole, Aunt Laura’s pecan pie and a homemade pie crust which I’ve never attempted. The card included the background to each dish and which family member it comes from. Thank you for sharing Breanne! The box is wonderful!!!

Breanne, congratulations! You got it! Nashville Hot Chicken is correct. You probably knew that too. The Music City Hot Chicken Festival started in 2007 and is held on July 4 each year. The princely origins refers to the fact that the dish is reportedly created when Thorton Prince's significant other was miffed that he stayed out late and the next day, she made fried chicken with a significant amount of hot spices to punish him but he instead loved it. He later opened up Prince's Hot Chicken Shack, the original Nashville Hot Chicken. The hottest version sold there is reportedly painfully hot, but that is why people go for it. In the PBS show Mind of a Chef, Sean Brock (Chef of Husk restaurants) went to Prince's to eat and was literally sweating from it. I personally love Hattie B's version of the dish with medium heat. I have never gotten the hottest version and have no wish to try. KFC made their own version of dish and put it on their menus in 2016. Banquet foods has a frozen Nashville hot chicken with macaroni and cheese. I have never seen it in the stores but I generally don't look at the frozen dinner section of the supermarket.

Breanne, I thought you were going to guess it after you guessed the West Virginia Slaw Dog since you were thinking regional and I thought you might remember that I used to live in Nashville.
