Watering newly planted garden?

last modified: 8 years ago

Hello! We just planted a little garden (triangle shaped; from the tip it's about 10' in either direction, and about 6' at the widest). For various reasons which are not relevant, the irrigation we installed will not be usable for about 2 weeks, so I'm forced to resort to watering with a sprinkler. We've planted the following:

daylilies

cannas

dwarf tacoma

escallonia

lantanta

agapanthus

and a bougainvillea in the corner

(most of these were given to us as cuttings from friends)

About how much water should we give it per week? An inch total? I'm in Southern CA Zone 10, and it's going to be HOT for at least the next week (110 today...) It'll cool down to the 90s, but it's still toasty.

Thanks!
