Beautiful room. How long is the down post on the ceiling fan?

I have beams almost exactly like these and I don't want the ceiling fan to hand below them. This looks perfect. I'm not sure how long the down post should be.

    I am afraid I did not specify the fan in this room so I cannot answer your question. It would seem to me that at your location, you should be able to measure from the underside of the ridge or ceiling to the bottom face of your beam and specify a fan stem length that will keep the fan a few inches above the bottom of the beam accordingly.
