I'm attaching below a couple of pictures of cabinetry that would work perfectly with Eucalyptus flooring. These are quite stylish, somewhat contemporary and rather sophisticated.

I would think that MDF would hold up to constant humidity better than particleboard, but that's mostly about boxes. In what way are the thermofoil cabinets falling apart -- e.g., is it the doors themselves, or the boxes?

Thanks for the input. We are looking at wood cabinets with stained surface. Original owner had wood with Thermofoil doors, not good.
