I think it is really personal preference. Many times our clients will do knobs on the doors, and pulls on the drawers. We are wrapping up a kitchen now that has all pulls, and on the longer drawers, two pulls. Depends on the style of the kitchen too.

Pulls are easier to open. So I vote all pulls. Depends on the size of the pull and size of the drawer whether to do two. No real rules, just what you like. I suggest looking at some images both ways.

I just finished remodeling with a mixture of knobs and pulls in my kitchen and bathrooms.

Pretty basic as the knobs went on doors for the most part and the pulls went on drawers.

The pulls I used only came in one length as well and so I two pulls on my wider drawers including two relatively narrow pulls on my paneled dishwasher. The two smaller pulls looked better than the one large appliance pull for that purpose.

FWIW the configuration of pulls and drawers was decided by my decorator as I just selected the style - and I am happy that was one less decision I had to fret about :-)

I got my cabinet hardware from Notting Hill which had really unique selections especially for my kitchen which is an homage to Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie style and my bathrooms for which I wanted more of an Art Nouveau feel :-) They are a small company and were wonderful to work with.
