some pots...in a ridiculously small garden

Keeping a tiny pot garden, in less than 30square metres, is ...challenging. Endless shuffling, repotting, replacing, watering, feeding. Had felt ever so slightly envious of everyone else's pics (for all anyone knows, my garden might exist entirely in my head). I am an awful photographer and my camera is meh but here are a couple of pics of mine

The little garden is ludicrously stuffed and looks lush (the lilies are out at the moment so must get camera out again)...but everything is in containers and 2 raised beds...and comes with it's own issues. Of course, if a plant is less than stellar, it is ever-so-easy to get rid...and with my ADHD method of gardening, this is all a good thing.

However, ALL the garden work of propagation, seed sowing and babying tinies along, the garden is always a mess of pots, hoses etc. and will never win any sort of design prize...but still.

Jumbling chaos, I know. And it is all going through another reshuffle at the moment (exhausting) but yep, it is a different sort of gardening compared to the allotment, which can be ignored for days at a time. No holidays for me until I get off my lazy arse and sort out a decent irrigation system (but that might mean losing my bulb budget). Choices - how hard are they.

And seed sowing ramping up again.

Oh how we love to garden, no matter how much work or chaos or container. Your plants are thriving and you have a good attitude.

My garden won't win any prizes either (I need a garden helper now for weed control) but when I open that gate and walk into the flowers, all happiness flows through me (till I see what the rodents have eaten that day!!)

I think next year I will do fewer containers, altho I love having them all over my deck and steps, back and front. It's way too much work schlepping water to them. We're in an awful drought now.

I actually think it looks pretty good!

Pots sure are a lot of work though -- gotta keep up with the watering. Was just thinking the same thing as susan above -- do I really want to plant all these pots next year?

Despite your self-criticism, which I am plenty guilty of myself, I'm sure most of us would be quite charmed by your garden. Looks lush and happy to me, I dig it!

That would not be a small garden here, my garden is 15' wide. And my mine is chockablock of a ton of things, apparently some tradesperson who was here said "hmm, looks like a farm" and this year, like an idiot I planted some pumpkins a friend gave me (affirming the farm theory) and the vines are possibly 6/10' long with flowers that are possibly 4-6" across. And like an idiot I also gave those pumpkins compost. In the winter I have so many houseplants coming in you kind of have to push the "shrubbery" aside to get downstairs or out the back door. LOL. The amount of potted plants you have is impressive.
