How did you get the weathered look on vanity/ what stain did you use?

The rustic wood (alder) really adds to the weathered appearance but the biggest factor is the hand-wiped finish- it brought out the grain making it looked weathered. This was a custom-formulated stain that was selected to blend with but not necessarily match the rest of the millwork. We also added a brown glaze to this to add dimension to the square edges on the door and drawers.

I need to find this in Fort Lauderdale .... I like this style but down here everyone expects you to go contemporary. i hate contemporary!

The homeowners purchased these from a place they found online that was going out of business. It was a leap of faith that they would get what they wanted (there were some pretty significant discounts involved) but it all worked out for them. I know I have sourced similar sinks from ibuild.com and have had good luck with them.
