Can you stack your washer and dryer in the center of the closet so that there is plenty of room to do laundry when bifold doors are open?

Regular bi-fold doors won't work in your situation, Michelle. But 'full access' bifold doors will.

Full access bifold doors are hinged fold doors that open outside the jambs. The doorways will still be block the adjacent doorways partially. There would probably be enough open space to get through, though.

Thanks @ci_lantro! I'll look into that!

@ilikefriday - funny you ask that. We actually were stacked before & we are working on a project to make the closet look like this!

Michelle - LOL. Don't let me take you backwards then! I have a stacked washer and dryer with bifold doors.

@houssaon Thank you for the idea! We have thought about removing the doors, but I would prefer to keep it closed for noise & child safety.

I would just remove the doors. I don't mind the sound of W/D myself, you get used to it. Unless you were locking the proposed doors I am not sure what you mean by child safety.
