Try a large clock.

I like it but think all should be lower....maybe put something narrow in the lower center over the couch. Now about a tallish plant near the floor lamp. and a table with lamp on the other side of your couch. A bright rug for the kids to play on and an ottoman to put your feet on....can't see the office area but storage for the toys and office things will help keep everything neat.

I would move all of the wall items out to be wider. They don't, IMO, look good limited to the size of that small couch/loveseat/chair.

I wouldn't widen the gallery but would lower the whole display, about 1/2 the distance from the bottom of the lowest items to the top of the back of the couch. Looks like it's about 12", so about 6" lower.
