Help with layout of 2 bedrooms, loft, shared bathroom

Hello, everyone. I had a lot of success with help on a kitchen here so I thought I'd ask for help with maximizing our space upstairs for two kids bedrooms, a loft, and a shared bath. We originally had no loft and 2 bathrooms. We have 1 girl and 1 boy on the way. The AHU is a separate air-conditioning unit for the second story of the home. Please note that the exterior walls cannot be moved as they are concrete block that stack with the first story. Also, I'd like to keep the window in the back (water view) and the front of home (front of the home symmetry.)

Here's a floor plan and loft photo we had in mind. Maybe instead of the upper cabinets, we could mount a TV and have a couch on the opposite wall. Don't know.

I just feel like we are wasting a lot of space on the right side of the loft. Also, Bedroom 3 has a huge closet (not necessary) with no real room for a dresser like in Bedroom 2. We wanted to make the 2 bedrooms as EQUAL AS POSSIBLE but Bedroom 2 is lacking, IMO. My wife and I think we want the loft but we aren't 100%. We just want to make the most of the space upstairs and could use some guidance.

Any and all critiques are welcome! Sketches would be even better. Thank you very much for your help.

How about pocket doors into the bedrooms and bathroom to free up some space?

Just to clarify, when I said wasting space on right side of loft, I meant in floor plan sketch -- not the photo.

If you don't mind a smaller loft area, bedroom 1 could almost mirror bedroom 2. The air conditioning unit door could open into the bathroom

I'd love for them to mirror one another. Do you think there would be a problem in regards to how the hallway/cat-walk connects to loft though?

I don't know all your dimensions so I can't tell how wide the opening to the loft is. Maybe move the door closer to the catwalk and put the closet butting up to where you have the a/c door.

Here's the latest. I think it still needs work. A little cramped getting into Bedroom 3 and the bathoom is pretty simplistic--maybe can be bumped out more. What does everyone think?

Have the door in bedroom 3 open onto the closet. That will help with furniture placement.

I think it’d be hard to squeeze by the bed then. I was considering pushing out just the right side of the bedroom further into the loft for more entrance space into bedro. then the loft is no longer a clean rectangle.

Pocketdoors are a good idea. Even with them, I feel like there is still some wasted space on right side of loft.

I think bedroom 3 has a pinch point at the closet and bed. I would have 2 custom made built in wardrobes flanking a built in dresser on the dresser wall.

Getting a little frustrated with this. I can’t seem to maximize the space here. Bumping this thread once more just in case anyone can help.

Did I read this right - 1 daughter & a boy "baby to be"? So, at any age out of cribs, why not twin beds [maybe with trundles for sleepovers]? Place the bed away from the door /wall corner & have the doors open in flat to the wall [not the closet]. CRAMPED is gone!

The bathroom: How likely are this boy & girl - for how long - going to want to brush their teeth at the same time? 1 sink & more counter space might be just fine. Some sort of linen storage would be nice. Be sure that's a tub/shower combo - kids start showering by 4 or 5. Note that kids that age benefit from suction grab bars that can be moved higher as they grow.
