Fresh radish pods are great for eating. They taste very similar to radish bulbs, but must be picked young and juicy.

Pretty much. Save the seeds if you wish but next year plan to harvest just a bit earlier. ;-)

Might as well try eating the seed pods if you can, see what they are like. The common small radishes need to be picked quickly after a month, they don't get better with age. The big long radishes are grown longer. Makes a difference if 9a is a mild summer climate or a hot summer climate.
