Technically, the guidelines say they must be reprocessed within 24 hours. The concern is that listeria can begin to develop, even in the fridge, shortly after that time period and reprocessing may not be enough to destroy it.

However, IMO it depends on how you do the reprocessing - BWB or PC, full reheating to boiling, new lids and clean jars, etc. Full and proper reprocessing with pressure canning (not BWB) and proper acidification can destroy listeria so personally I am comfortable with waiting 72 hours. Beyond that they need to go into the freezer rather than the fridge and get mixed in and reprocessed in a new batch when possible.

If frozen just allow them to partially thaw and then dump in with the new batch, boil, add fresh acid to all the jars, and re-jar and PC.

PSS: and Cindy order the 5-10-15 weight set for the Presto rather than a new gauge. Cheaper and 10x more accurate. Studies show that even new gauges can be off by 2-4 lbs. Many discussions here about this.
