Hi everyone,

I'm looking to add a carpet runner to my wood stairs for safety/traction.

I love the options from Dash & Albert, particularly the designs of their cotton runners. However, when I called a couple carpet installation places (looking to see if I can find someone to install it for me - which as a side bar: no luck; if I don't buy the carpet from them, they won't install....), I'm being told not to use cotton runners because they will stretch and are unsafe.

Is this true or is this because they want the business? If you search online, you can see many many postings of these runners being used on stairs, both with waterfall installation and wrap (hollywood wrap).

Any advise/suggestions on this would be appreciated.
