I'm at a loss as to which to choose since I know that HD is a good, stand by their product company and have just come to find out that Comfortex was bought out by Hunter Douglas a long while back. I'm looking for quality as I plan for these blinds/shades to last me a long time. Can anyone offer me their opinion on one vs the other. The Hunter Douglas, from what we've chosen (comparing apples to apples) is upwards of $1,000 more. We're redoing all the windows in our new home and hubby is (of course) for Comfortex ($$$). I'll admit HD was a bit of 'sticker shock' when the salesman came to our home but I'm kind of sold on the quality, warranty, guarantee, in home repair, etc. that I was promised from the salesman that only sells Hunter Douglas. Your thoughts? As we stand now hubby and I are at a stand still and have halted the project.
