You have a lovely home. I like the brick too.

What jumps out right away is the bright white garage door, shutters and lastly, the front door. It makes one's eyes wander all over the place with no focal point.

What you want to achieve (normally) is the front door as your focal point as it makes your home welcoming. Otherwise it is a confusing jumble.

With that in mind, I would:

1) paint your garage door a color to blend with your brick. Use the mid tone in your brick or even the darker color brick.

3) paint your front door an accent color. You could go with a sage green or a soft golden/yellow color.

Great ideas... Just purchased the home so we're figuring what to do with it. Any suggestions for the soffit and fascia color? i like the sage green for the door and painting the garage door. Also, would you suggest shutters that fit or no?

Since you are putting on a new roof in charcoal color, I would paint the fascia a color to blend rather than highlight that area. You could go with a corresponding deep gray or even black. This brings your eyes back to the front door and the fascia fades away. If you prefer definition, I would use the same trim color on the fascia as the front door. The soffit is fine the way that it is now. Does it need painting?

No shutters, it would look a lot cleaner I think.

Are you sure that you want a gray roof? With your warm brick colors, the existing brown looks good. One of our neighbors replaced their brown roof with gray and it does not look good with their brick. Gray does not "go" with everything.

I like the brick too, so I'd remove the shutters to show more of it. Paint the garage a dark brown color from your brick to make it recede. White or cream trim and front door. And a dark brown roof. Sage green would be nice for your front door too, but not for your garage door, which should be a dark color, not a focal point.

I don't think shutters enhance your home at all. I wouldn't have them if it were my house. Even getting them the right size wouldn't work IMO because of the panels below the window. As partim says, show more brick :)

I also agree with partim's suggestion to go with a brown roof rather than charcoal for the reasons he states.

I agree with removing the shutters. If you do keep them a dark taupe (SW Foothills) would look good. How do I know? We have a similar brick on our home and that's the color we painted our shutters. I don't think the current trim color works at all. If you're going to do a charcoal roof then gray tones from the brick for the trim would be the way I would go. There are some other roof colors that are a mix of grays and tans that might work better with your brick, possibly Canadian Driftwood, Mission Brown or Weathered Wood.

Then you could do the trim, etc. in a medium gray with brown overtones.

For the roof, I would get several colors that you like and place them on the roof and look at them for a few days. Not the little pieces, ask the contractor for an actual full size piece of each color you like. I just did that with 4 colors and did not choose the one I had chosen from the small samples. Big investment you want to get it right. IMO all trim should be the same color. Fascia should not "pop" it is not a feature. I agree to remove the shutters. I would paint all the trim the "whitish" color from the brick and then paint the door a fun color that you love.

If you are going with a black roof, I would get shorter BLACK shutters that only go to the bottom of the window. Paint your front door a brighter color (bring samples to see what looks good with your brick). Facia & Soffits White. This is both brick & siding but you can see the how the colors look with the brick. Landscape with smaller bushes & flowers.
