Without seeing the bed in place with other pieces, it's hard to say. My first inclination would be to keep it as is. Everything doesn't have to match.

The style of the bed is fine - how do the other pieces work into her design style? maybe some paint, bedding & lamps will bring it all together.

I would also keep the bed as it is. Looks like it would mix nicely with farmhouse style.
