I would not concern myself with the color of the art. Find something big and energetic. Green and wood work well with any color combination.

I'm afraid the green chairs are the odd man out here. Not really sure why you decided on that color. Since the door makes the wall area off-center, I would suggest a grouping of art instead of a single piece. Please don't just pick anything that you think will "fit"; instead choose pieces that speak to you in some way. You can certainly find something that has green in it to carry that color over from the chairs.

You need some curved lines! What you have so far is really good, very crisp and clean, but it needs some messiness. (Even the broom is a straight line lol). You are lucky: you have a perfect palate for a huge piece of gorgeous art on that big wall, and then put a drape on the window for some softness and dimension/depth. The green is perfect, but it's a very powerful color, and it needs something to powerful to anchor it and compliment it. Rich browns, rich blues, maybe some orange for an accent color, something like that. And that table can handle a big centerpiece, something low and linear. Cool room, have fun!

Your table looks too wide for the space. How much room is there between the backs of the chairs and the wall? I'm afraid the chairs will bang into the wall every time someone enters or leaves the table.

Usually a single large picture or framed print is a good choice for a dining room wall.

Yes, I can see a large horizontal art piece on the wall. It doesn't have to be primarily green but it would be nice if it contains the green from the bars stools. The space is tight, so you don't have room for something with dimension.

BTW - I have added color to inexpensive art to please my eye. :-)

I would add a large art piece with some green.

How big is the window over the buffet? Do you ever raise the blind? You might want to hang a mirror or picture to cover the window.

Maybe a roman shade.

We open the blinds every day so can't cover it. I like the green chairs, we've received so many compliments on it. I understand that its not a color most people would like but we really like it.

That wall is about 7 ft. How about this wall art, dimensions are 60.25" W x 1.75" D x 30"H.

Don't go with a print that's so common. The first one you posted has been around the block. Your chairs are unexpected. Don't take away from the look with a tired print that doesn't make a statement and compliment the stools.

A note on the green. I think it’s great to add the pop of color. For me it’s the style of the stool. It’s modern for the space adding the art will balance out.

I'd consider something more interesting than just a typical large rectangular art on canvas (unless you find one you're in love with).

Perhaps some interesting combinations of prints with wood or grass woven baskets to give texture. I'd put a beautiful large plant in the corner where the broom is. That whole wall should be your feature wall.

Your green bar stools add that pop of color needed IMO and the artwork will bring both spaces together. I see more color and modern. Find something that is a statement piece and has meaning to you. Scale and composition are key. Best of Luck.

I would do something with a strong contrast of white and black, maybe with a touch of color in there as well. But definitely wouldn't go straight for green as that color! Because you have a bright green chair, having some variation will keep the green from overpowering your space.

Also, the green, to me, invokes a modern and sleek touch in the space! Adding a modern, clean, sleek sort of art piece will really tie that together.

Something with the vibes of these ones would look really good in my opinion :) That last one is obviously quite different, but I think would also look really nice with the aesthetic of your kitchen.

I would get something huge. with a little green, some blues (like teal blues) but I would also suggest putting little bits of green in other spots too via plants (fake or real).

maybe also try to see how some table clothes with a little green in them look. I wouldnt go for completely green table cloth though.

I echo everything Protegee Design said above. The addition of black and white artwork would be stunning, IMO. I LOVE the unexpectedness of those green barstools!

They don't "match." I think that's the whole idea.

Just throwing a few things out here. You could try wall sconces next to art or on the window wall (I wouldn't do both).

I love the chairs...they're perfect.

A colorful print would be lovely imho and make sure it has some vibrant green in it...not just forest green. I like Molly's ideas, above, and also that first picture kulrn suggested, as well as the first grouping Sarah showed. Clearly my taste is all over the place, but this is your place :)

I love the suggestions from Molly and LeeLee. Make it a very large, square picture - not rectangular! I would continue the green and other colors into roman shades at at the windows and some accessories on the counters. And maybe a long wooden bread bowl with green apples and other fruit in it for a centerpiece. Down the road, consider a rug under the table to tie it all together.

I do think you need to replace the shade on the small window. You could use a roman shade, bamboo or matchstick.

The window treatment on the small window is the same as on the kitchen window. I think it’ll look odd if that window have a different look.

I agree with Dream, but they all need to be the instrument of bringing some color into these rooms. In the pictures they appear metal, scary. Find a fabric with the green of the stools, be sure it is repeated in the art you choose and everything will be a whole. Roman shades will do what you need.

I agree with arcy...in addition to a brighter green shade, make sure the fabric and artwork has a bit of a modern twist to tie in the style of the stools.

I am totally in love with the Eclipse wooden light by Tilen Sepic which is also a sculpture. You can adjust amount of light and effect by moving the circle in and out. Very beautiful, moody and practical dining lighting. Comes in different finishes and sizes. Hopefully you can see photo below.

The window treatments indeed do need to all be the same. I would replace them all. They don't add a thing to your kitchen or dining areas. Even bamboo shades would add more. They're very inexpensive too.

First of all, I love your green stools!

I say go for a LARGE piece of colorful art. (Check out allposter.com. - I got a poster of 1932 Good Housekeeping cover for my kitchen that I love.)

But, one person noted that there is not enough (or not a lot of ) room around the table, so I would not get anything that protrudes from the wall like sconces or 3D art.
