Very nice. I'm not sure you need any transition, but if you do, use the same trim you've used on the corners and edges.

Tatts, thanks for the concerns, but no worries. The first pic was an early pic and it everything was all installed correctly/water tight as per Maibec (insulated, strapped, aluminum cladding over windows etc) and passed by building inspectors at multiple points in the reno.... I used that pic because it was a close up I had on my phone. ***Back to the topic...The transition is just a cosmetic dilemma we’re still trying to sort out and would love to hear any ideas... is the facade too flat? Metal Awning? What about this feature over the window.. should we do this to ours?

It may have passed inspections, but that was a shoemaker's job on that installation.

The aluminum cladding on the windows is a give-away that it's a slap-up job, rather than doing it right. It's what low-ball house flippers in Philly do rather than replace the window and door trim properly. The caulk fails at the first freeze/thaw cycle because the aluminum flexes too much. Constant maintenance.

You might do a shallow cantilevered roof across the front of the house at the transition from stone to siding.

Doesn't that area NEED a flashing metal piece to divert the water from running between the wood and the stone. Maybe called a screed? Looks like there's a gap there.

Pajamas, I suspect a general contractor could do a little roof like that. You might need a structural engineer to design it if you want it cantilevered with no posts.
