Fermenting pickle brine changed?

last modified: 7 years ago

I've been fermenting a batch of pickle in a glass gar with an air lock for about a month. Peek at them every day, and jar/brine is clear as day. Well today I decided it was time to check them to see if they are done (they are delicious) but all of a sudden, upon disturbance, the brine turned cloudy. Has anyone had this experience? It was the strangest thing to have a clear jar turn cloudy. I didn't plan on canning these - just store in the fridge until we eat them all. But now I'm wondering if I should make a new brine to store them in??? Should I just check them tomorrow to see if the brine is still cloudy? I'd hate to lose these. I'm so confused... Thanks for any insight. :)
