A lot of what people use and recommend comes down to what distributors are pushing into the local market. I'm not familiar with Tiger Turf as they don't have a presence in VA, but ask to see samples, and ask to see finished installations (ideally 2+ years old).

Turf is one of those products that I only get from local distributors with a manufacturers rep available. Can you find it cheaper online? Sure, and it may even be close in quality. But if something goes sideways with expensive material, responsive support is great. Unless, of course, you like waiting 2 weeks for an email to reach the right people at some discount turf website.

Installed cost is going to be very region specific. 15 years ago I feel like we were getting $14/sq ft in AZ so I can only imagine it's higher now.

Site prep and installation cost are initially very high for any sort of artificial turf compared to sodding or seeding - $10-15/sf is pretty typical and can go as high as $20/sf.

Knowing what my costs were on the last one, 5-7/ft turnkey, out the door, is... well let's just go with impressively optimistic.

Artificial turf is not much different than a dry laid stone patio in installation. You need to dig out for a drainage layer, compact in base, lay the synth turf, and then broom in zeolite. That's why the labor is so expensive. It is a lot of work to do it right.
