This looks like a hallway around the bedroom area, so perhaps a 'gallery' of your kids would be more ideal. Personally I like large equal sized frames equally spaced along a large wall surfaces such as in your situation.

(< artist and ex-gallery owner) Keep in mind that there is little space in a hall to get back from a piece to see it well and choose accordingly. I have some large artworks at the end of hallways (this way they can be seen from other rooms as well), but they are mostly abstract with bright colors, so there isn't a lot of detail to try and take in. Family pictures are nice, but can make a space look dated if they are not framed in a style that is clean and classic (and similar/consistent). I'd stick with the architectural pieces and keep the kids pics in a study/office, kitchen or somewhere where you can get back to see them and/or change them up when needed without much trouble.
