To bench or not to bench?

I need some advice with whether its a good idea to add a bench instead of chairs for my dinning table.
My living room in the apartment is opened to the dinning area. The overall furniture is modern. I also have cranberry colored bar stools that will be close to the dining table.
I selected a table from Calligaris, Parentisi 78" walnut top table with chrome legs, that fits 8 people and chose 5 of the new york chairs also from Calligaris, with grey fabric, very modern chairs with chrome legs and they are very comfortable and look casual.
My only dilemma, is that am thinking of adding a bench on one side of the table with acrylic legs and with a pop of color, lets say emerald green or turquoise leather .something like the one in the picture . I probably will get it customized since I didn't find one that is equal in size of a 78 inches table.
Would adding a bench be a big design mistake? should I play it safe and add 3 chairs ?and Is sitting on a bench for dinning is comfortable? I dont want to compromise comfort for the looks , and am not really sure if its going to look good at all!
We are only two people in the apartment, but we expect elder guests from time to time and sometimes guests with kids
