Adding a mirror in the hallway will give you the illusion of having a bigger space and it's perfect near the entrance because everyone needs to have one last look at themselves in the mirror before heading out.

You can try a larger rug on the floor by the entrance, a mirror opposite the door, and then artwork down the hallway.

What a tight hallway! My only suggestion would be a larger size mirror on the 1 wall (opposite the front door).
