When we bought our house

18 years ago, we painted it all one color, primarily due to cost. Now, we're selling and some trim painting is needed, so I'd like to consider a different color for the trim (and railing?) It's a chalet style with a flat roof. Paint is about the only thing in the budget. I just stained our pergola (separate from the house) a dark brown, so thought perhaps the same, but would like some additional thoughts. It's a sizable project.
