Mostly I am going to rest this weekend. Projects at work have had me working long hours this week. I probably will work on my Purple Jamestown Landing some. I also have been putting together some orphan pieces to make some baby quilts out of them for the Baby James Memorial Project. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, so I will probably be sewing all day.

No plans to quilt here. Current projections have Florence missing the SC coast; however, if she takes a turn, eldest son and several of his buddies will evacuate to our home. I'm spending my extra moments in the kitchen this weekend. If they have a few days off from classes, I'll have food prepped. If they don't, all my meals are planned for the week. Win-win. Happy Weekend!

Pretty block, Linda. I'm sandwiching a quilt with glue. While that's drying, I started assembling my rainbow blocks. I've got a lot on my plate right now. I want to complete two quilts by the end of the month, so I'm not sure why I started working on the third (rainbow). Could be because I'd rather quilt than do a lot of the other things I need to do right now, but I must be disciplined. I'll put that aside once I get the rows together later today... and maybe the border...and a backing..,STOP the madness.

I can't seem to get motivated to pick my new project. I guess inspiration will come when it's time, it always does. I'm not one to quilt when I'm not feeling it.

I finally got my "happy days" quilt quilted. I will be sewing the binding on while watching TV this weekend. I still need to add some "tacks" to it in some areas that need some extra quilting, but I don't want them to show. I made it for Dick's favorite niece, who is ill. This one has been a bear to quilt, as I didn't get it sandwiched well. That's one disadvantage to spray basting, it's not that easy to undo and start over.

I had planned to start my cat quilt next and even had the fabric out on the "cutting table". However, I stumbled onto a bunch of I Spy "happy blocks" (I spy charms sashed in bright colors) from a 2017 swap and decided to make a quick top. I enjoyed it so much I put another one on the wall (I kind of went overboard making those blocks last year.)

It's supposed to rain all day today, so it's a perfect day for sewing.

Cool gloomy day threatening rain. A perfect day for snuggling under a quilt and reading. I do have tops that need sandwiching, but like Rita "I'm not feeling it".

Gordon raining on me at work right now. Very slow day. My daughter is home from college this weekend so I probably won't quil today, although I have lots to work on. She and I will likely go to dinner and a movie this eve. I may get to some quilting later Sunday after she leaves. Have a good weekend all.

I finished fixing 3 blocks for my mom. She struggled with some cutting instructions which made an easy quilt block into one that was a challenge! ANYWAY, that is done. I bought fabric today for borders on the wedding fan quilt I am working on. We are watching our Charlotte later when the kids go to a football game.

We are supposed to be flying to Myrtle Beach on Tuesday for a week's vacation ... that is still up in the air now with Florence on track to hit the coast. Airlines and condo are holding off making any predictions of cancellations - even as the governor's of NC and SC have declared states of emergency! Geez. If we have to cancel, at least it is beautiful here in Colorado!

I also just started knitting a cardigan. I’ve had the yarn for years and finally decided to pick out a pattern and make something. Of course, I really don’t need yet another UFO, but oh, well. :)

I'm working on a Warm Wishes quilt for a wedding gift. The fabric was given to me by a friend who stopped quilting. I'm not sure I'm happy with how it's looking, but I'm charging ahead anyway. Maybe when it's quilted, I'll be happier with it.

Sue, I couldn't send you a direct message. Wanted you to know our governor issued a mandatory evacuation of all coastal counties. I'm sorry to say, Myrtle Beach in Horry County is part of that. Hope the sun is shining on you in Colorado!

Yes, we were supposed to fly out today for Myrtle Beach, but our resort cancelled and we cancelled our flights/car, etc. Tomorrow we will go up to the mountains with our neighbors who were supposed to go with us and spend 3 days at their cabin and see the fall colors, hike, relax. We are bummed, but safe. We are now in the process of trying to see if we can schedule a trip to Cabo at the end of the month or first of October to use our airline credit and resort credit.

Sue, we were in Cabo in April. It was wonderful! I can't wait to go back to the area. We also went to Puerto Vallarta.

Glad you could make some alternate plans. Cabo sounds fun! My brother frequently vacations there and loves it.

We are 200 miles inland and in an area safe from flooding. We might experience the high winds and some power outages; however, we should fair well. I'm just glad my son decided to travel home last evening. Very little traffic at that time. Over a million people are evacuating today. Last I heard, all the hotels & motels in our area were booked. Florence is over 300 miles wide & seems quite unpredictable, but we are prepared for the worst. These are the times I am thankful to be a type-A personality. :)
