Calacatta Fantasy by Teltos is a quartz calacatta look alike that I chose because it came in a matte finish - and I thought I loved it. However, what I did not realize is that it really has a muddy undertone that has made selecting a backsplash an endless job. Time ran out, and it was installed (although there were some errors so it will have to be partially re-installed), but the muddiness really shows with white cabinets and gray walls - - - so today I went to the paint store and found that Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray helps to tone down the muddiness. I have two backsplash options, but sadly, I may just have to choose a very plain tile that is close to the tone of the Amazing Gray paint. Floors are French Oak, and I am hopeful that when all is done, it will all work together, but it has been a BIG challenge. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
