Floating installation

We are purchasing a home on a concrete slab and are looking for quality engineered floors at a reasonable price. However, we were hoping to install ourselves to also keep costs down. One of the installation methods listed is floating - does that mean glue floating or click/lock installation? Please elaborate. Thank you.

Congrats on your new home purchase & for your interest in our French Oak Prefinished Engineered wood flooring. To answer your question, yes, this floor may be floated over a concrete slab. To do so, you'd need an underlayment as well as a floating floor glue to connect the tongue & grooves of each plank as these planks are not "click & lock." We have recommended underlayment options to float this floor as well as the floating glue you'd need to connect your planks & would be happy to provide a custom estimate for you to review. Feel free to complete a project inquiry form by clicking the green "Contact Me" button on our Houzz profile. When you do, be sure to include your email address so that we can send over any necessary attachments. We'd love the opportunity to partner with you on your project. Let us know how we can help.
