PS I HATE bunk beds; please don't suggest them. We are going to get rid of our current bunk beds. They are too hard to make up and snuggle in.

Two fulls might be ok but I think two queens would look too much, kids will appreciate room to play too!

Full beds would be sufficient for sure, but I still think they'd be overkill for small children. Maybe consider twin beds with pull out trundle beds underneath? That way you have less square footage permanently dedicated to beds and more space for playing and stuff.

Trundle beds for sure. Kids at this age need more floor space to bounce around in than bed space when they are sleeping. Especially if the sleepovers aren't an everyday thing.

Also, once they get older and get past sleepovers and needing space for play, you can trade the twin trundles for double beds and homework desks.

Even in a room of that size, two full beds will take up a lot of floor space, but it might work. So a few questions. How big is the closet? Have you done a floor plan?

Go with two twin beds and use the remaining space for homework/computer stations and books/toy storage. As in the photo directly above, you can create separate spaces for each child which will help make it feel less like a hotel room.

I would go for the two double beds. With the room being 20 ft wide and the average double bed taking up 9 ft, you have plenty of room. When my daughter was young she had a trundle bed and I hated it. The room didn't have the room for a double bed. The bottom was a pain to make just like bunk beds and felt like you were sleeping in a drawer on the floor.
