Swiss cheese cabinets....what would you do?

Our contractor had to recut our sink holes in base cabinet three times and our cabinet floor has large holes in it. Now they fed the wire for the outlets on the island our the back where our chairs will go. So our outlets will be useless back there unless my children want to straddle a cord between their legs when I am using a small appliance on the counter. We want the wires moved to the sides, but that will leave more holes......What to do?

One more hole needs to be drilled in above because island is crooked and need to be cut to straighten out.

The above and below are the back side of island where chairs will go. New holes will have to be added. This will leave three holes in each end cabinet-at bottom back and through center part of drawer. backside on outside won't be visible, but all other holes will be seen if you look inside cabinet.

In my area, having outlets under the overhang would not meet code; outlets had to be on sides.

I would be irked about those sink base holes...not sure what the remedy should be. It could be “skinned”, but would they do any better on getting the hokes right? There are also mats that can be cut to fit that help prevent water damage.

Get a licensed electrician. That is unacceptable

i put shelf liner --- the clear plastic kind with ridges that comes in a roll --- on the floor of my sink cabinet, with a couple inch overlap, so i didnt get mess on the floor from cleaning products and the dish pan. you might still see your holes a bit (or get the solid white, not clear) but the product is very sturdy and nothing would poke through the hole.

I like to put peel and stick floor tile on the bottom of my kitchen and bathroom sink cabinets. It cleans up nicely and would cover the holes around your plumbing.

chill just a little. no one looks for holes inside cabinets, and they can be patched.
some very bad communication, or bad electrical drawings, got you some extra holes...
most importantly, get the outkets6wher you wa6them. then fix the invis6to the world inside cabinet dilemma.
do you have an electrical plan? if y6do, signed off, you have justification for complaining...

Same thing happened to us in our old house; installation by a newbie. My husband ended up filling the holes with bottled insulation foam to seal the hole & to prevent mice, spider intrusion & drafts and then installed a thin 1/4" plywood on top of the cabinet floor. Anywhere you have holes in cabinets, you have a pathway for pests.....at least where we live.

I'd complain to your cabinet guy. The person doing the install must be a newbie.
