Azek does not look plastic, and does not deteriorate like wood. However, it is much more expensive, so depending on your budget, you may want to go with cedar.

There are other products similar to AZEK. We are a authorized dealer but I would say look in to other options if budget is your main focus.

azek looks very plastic to me. it doesnt bother me when i walk around on it but if i sit on my porch steps, from that distance it looks like plastic. i'd not want it on a shower that was inches from my face.

Azek holds pollen which turns it green and mold. I dislike mine. It does not feel smooth to the touch and that why it has that issue. I am sorry I did not do Cedar.
