My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

2/ What stain/finish did you use?

    The wood is air-dried cedar (very expensive). The wide boards are 1x6" and the narrow are are the same boards ripped in half. The boards were coated with teak oil - the only negative in that approach is they have to be re-coated every year. Be happy to answer any more questions, and in I were in NoCal I'd be happy to do it!
