Lyda rose thornless quality

I would like to thank echolane and Ann who gave me very helpful information on Lyda rose . ( The Houzz answer area is not working for me). I do have one more question. Heirloom Roses claims Lyda is thorny, not thornless, or nearly. Rogue Valley Roses says it is thornless. Is the thornless quality depend on who I buy from ? I love the rose either way, but I do love to dream!
