Design Dilemma Basements

Spray foam insulation question~

We are finishing the basement in our new home, my husband is planning on having a company come in and spray foam the walls. We are also installing a drop ceiling with no insulation, plaster on walls. We live in MA and winters are cold, summers are hot. The main floor of the home is well insulated with foam board and fiberglass. Should I be concerned with health risks with the spray foam?

Also, we are planning on having this done soon, basement is heated, we keep it around 65 degrees, there is some humidity around 68%, will the foam cure properly?

Here's what the EPA has to say about spray foam insulation.

Though I've spray foamed an entire basement during construction, I wouldn't do so again. Other workers were advised not to be in the house for 24 hours; the owners didn't move in for a few months.

Instead of using spf, consider rigid XPS (extruded polystyrene) boards 1"-2" thick followed by fibreglass.

You have to read up on the chemicals to find out if you are comfortable with them. I spray foamed my entire house as part of a large renovation. My electric bills are laughably small consequently.
