Really? That seems very hard to believe.

I'd keep pressing them--any reputable shower door company can access almost anything through trade sources.

Where are you located?

Wilmington, NC

I have the opposite situation. I ordered brushed nickel for my faucets and I thought for my shower bar system. However, when it arrived, I saw it was polished nickel and I love it. I decided to keep it. When we had the shower doors measured they asked if I wanted polished or brushed. I went with the polished. I don't think it will be an issue clashing with the brushed.

Well, you aren't located in Siberia or anything. In Wilmington, NC there should be access to polished nickel hinges!

Yes, Diana, I know. It SHOULD be possible. Trying to get things done in this town has been very "interesting" to say the least. I'm not sure our contractors have ever even seen polished nickel fixtures before ours.

Ha, that's crazy! I just did a google search and came up with this. The company, CR Laurence, looks to be a large supplier of this type of hardware.

Here's a link to the hinges:

And another link to the door handles (one of them looks just like mine):

Maybe suggest it to your contractor?

I like the idea of mixing metals, it looks great!

Hi Annie. We're having the exact same problem and it's not that unbelievable - the major vendors like Kohler, Delta, Dreamline, Vigo, etc. don't make shower doors in polished nickel. Only brushed or satin. It's really a shame and I'm about to look into the custom route. What did you end up deciding for yours?

look into the CR Laurence website that I posted last year.

Good for you!

Annie, can you send me the vendor's name/contact. I'm having the same issue. Thanks!

We ended up using Standard Glass. They are located in Wilmington, NC.

Thank you Annie!

We’re having the same issue now. Ordered months ago and now they say the polished nickel won’t be available until May! We have to order through the shower door company.

We have polished nickel fixtures - so do we go with chrome or brushed nickel.

My husband says chrome - stick with polished. But I think Brushed nickel - staying within the same tone.

Any suggestions? We do not want to wait another 4 months

Im ordering polished nickel too for fixtures. Any luck with doors? I just dont know if crome or satin will work. What did you end up with?

I finally found a company that had the polished nickel shower door hardware.
