Looks awesome! I'm at the tail end of a very similar kitchen renovation. We removed soffits and got new cabinets but kept the same layout. Put in white cabinets and a similar granite counter. Will post before and after pics once the backsplash is in! It feels great, doesn't it?!? Did you paint your existing cabinets?

Mona, that's so great!Can't wait to see your pics!! Yes! We love the way it all turned out! Our cabinets were in great shape so we hired a professional to paint them..it was worth every penny. He came highly reccomended and he did a fantastic job! Good luck to you on your kitchen renovation!

Great job! My kitchen has a very similar layout and we’re about to reface the cabinets and get quartz counters and a new backsplash. Our island is a similar size as yours and cant decide between 2 recessed lights above, 2 pendants, or just one. Houzz folks keep suggesting getting the same one fixture above island as kitchen table but have no idea what type of fixture would work in other places. Are you happy with your choice of pendants?

Hi Pensivern, how exciting!!! So we did recessed lights in rest of kitchen also but over the island I love having the pendants. Our island is a floating island ( I can push it into another room when I have lots of company) so I had to find pendants that were on a flexible wire that could be raised up for those occasions so they work great for us! I love the look of pendants over an island also... Good luck to you! :)

Alyssa, What color white was used on your cabinets. My first choice was SW Alabaster but think SW pure white is a better choice for my countertop choice ( Viaterra quartz- Karis). My lower cabinets and island will be SW aloof grey- pray it all looks good together!!

Amazing, what paint, crown molding, trim etc. can do. Nice to see you painted existing cabinets that were in good shape. With the addition of the crown molding at the top and the side panel update on the island, no one would think they were the same cabinets. Smart use of money. Enjoy your kitchen

Pensivern, we used SW snowbound..we found that SW alabaster looked too yellow in our house? We had a hard time deciding between snowbound and the SW pure white..tbh I loved them both! So I think you will be happy with the SW pure white for sure! It's so hard to pick...but I learned it's all about the lighting in your house..I think it will all come together just fine for you! Can't wait to see pics!
