If you want the island countertop to be the star you're already over designing. Either two counter tops and one cabinet color, or two cabinet colors and one countertop. Both of those are strong stones and may turn off buyers, but if you want to make a statement you can't really worry about appealing to a large pool of buyers. I like the top stone best so that would be my vote, but again it won't be the star like you're hoping if you're mixing in another stone and two cabinet colors.

Not every buyer wants a "safe kitchen". Design it for you, be bold if that is your taste..you won't be the only one. There are buyers who want to find a kitchen that stands out.

If your island is large (many today could land a 747!), any stone/quartz that is "busy" will become VERY busy. Countertops are very expensive. Think very hard about how long you will "love" this countertop and how long you intend to live in this house. If you're thinking 3-7 years, I'd go far simpler. A countertop that a buyer really dislikes can be a deal-breaker. Also, one that strong always has the potential for one to tire of it quickly and end up in a "what-was-I-thinking!" situation.

I am in the go-with-it camp! Too many houses have the same repeated finishes because everyone wants to be safe. With all the problems that I see on here about stone seams, that would be my concern. Personally, I love the 2nd choice.

Very nice. We put Titanium in our kitchen about 6 years ago and we still love it. It has also been bullet proof and looks just like it did the day it was installed.
