Dypsis leptocheilos?

It looks like a dracena to me. They come in many varieties and colors. Here is a picture of a red one I found real quick online.

Not those three. I got one suggestion of Hyophorbe verschaffeltii red form. Anybody think so ?

Lipstick palms are way brighter red and would die without a ton of humidity. I saw you tube videos of them being grown practically in water in Asia. I wish I could grow one :(

I have no clue but could it be a royal palm? They are common in S FL. Some do have the burgundy coloration as seedlings. Rarely mature ones may have a burgundy crown.

Here is the spindle palm as a seedling. You may be right that kinda looks like it.

Sultry,I'm leaning to the Hyophorbe. I've never seen a Dypsis lutescens with reddish overtones. I might bring it in one more winter..but I hesitate because its large for indoors air and treatment. It might be mealy bugged or the like.

Ironic because years ago I saw one in a soucal photo..and was told it grows fine in the cool summers of the coast. Sounded like worth a try.

Might be. It and the others are palms never seen around here. Different.

Hyophorbe lagenicaulis, Bottle Palm seedlings

Whatever they are they look very healthy and happy. How long did it take to germinate the seeds? Did you need to give the seeds any special treament?

I used to have a couple decent size bottle palms that I originally bought in 1 gal sz at kmart lol. I gave them away before I moved. They are really beautiful palms.

No special treatment..into 6" pots. I must have had 20 or more seeds...these three took,while the others faded away. Big seeds as I remember. I think I did bring them in for winter since it's too cold here for seedling palms from tropical climates. I might test them under shelter this winter since they grew more this summer then the previous two combined.

Eric,if they are Bottles?..then for sure they need to come in. Rot will get them.

I think Bottle palm is it. Well,nice to have a potted trio. Who knows,by the time they are of any decent size they might be able to survive our cool almost 10b winters.

Looks like a Dypsis to me. Would need a better pick to tell for sure.
